Mentors

Business leaders can give back to the community by becoming a mentor to students who are determined to make a difference. You’ll be able to work with passionate, young minds and point them in the right directions.

The students participating in the Greater Binghamton Scholastic Challenge are some of the most motivated and creative individuals in the Southern Tier. They’ll work closely with professional business mentors who will help impart real-life experiences that’ll reshape their views on what a career can be.

As GBSC mentors, local business owners and entrepreneurs have the chance to work with individual students and teams at assigned schools. They will rely on your experience and expertise to help create award-winning business plans and presentations. Your commitment is simply to visit your teams in school for a few hours a month from February to May and help guide them along their journeys. Business mentorship is just another way that GBSC is changing the world one idea at a time, and we invite you to be a part of the adventure.

This is not only an opportunity to invest in your community’s future leaders, but also to scout up-and-coming talent for possible employment and internships!
